What Does Fish Oil Do – Discover the Amazing Health Benefits of Omega 3 Fatty Acids

by Henri

So, what does fish oil do and why should you even care about getting more omega-3 fatty acids into your diet?

Researchers have found that the vast majority of men, women and children are deficient in these essential fats.

You might wonder why you should care, and those were my thoughts in the beginning as well.

That was before I found out that a deficiency in omega-3 fatty acids has been linked to numerous problems and health conditions, such as:

  • Anxiety
  • Bad circulation
  • Depression
  • Dry skin
  • Fatigue
  • Heart problems
  • Insomnia
  • Memory problems
  • Mood swings
  • Weak immune system
  • And much more…

Studies have proven that by getting more omega-3 fats into our diet can tremendously improve both our physical and mental health.

I personally have been researching and using fish oil supplements for several years. The benefits that I’ve gotten are improved memory, skin, energy, quality of sleep, focus and a sense of joy and wellbeing that I haven’t experienced before.

Doctors and experts today agree that we are eating too much omega-6 fatty acids. These fats can be found in places like corn oil, safflower oil, sunflower oil and so on.

Did you know that omega-6 fats cause inflammation in the body, which leads to disease? Our bodies also get confused when we have too much omega-6 and too little omega-3, which is usually the case nowadays.

There have been countless studies made on the health benefits of fish oils. Omega-3 fats have been proven to be extremely beneficial not just for people who have health problems, but for healthy adults and kids as well.

You can also get good amounts of essential fats from eating regular foods, such as fatty fish, walnuts, flaxseed oil, omega-3 eggs, and dark green leafy vegetables.

The problem with these sources is that they cannot and are usually not consumed in high enough quantities.

For example, doctors and experts do not recommend that you eat more than two or three fatty fish meals per week, because fish today are swimming in increasingly polluted waters.

Then we have foods such as walnuts and flaxseed oil, which contain good fats, but if you eat too much of them you might run into problems down the road, because you will be eating too much fat.

This is why it is recommended that you eat a healthy diet, and supplement with high-quality fish oils to keep your omega-3 levels where they should be.

I highly encourage you to do your own research before you run out and buy a fish oil supplement. There are many companies out there that produce low-quality products.
